Women’s History Month Spotlight: Emily Dickinson

We think of Emily Dickinson as a bold and fierce woman, which was evident in her work.  Dickinson’s works surpassed the boundaries of the poetry style during her lifetime, where she fused her individuality with her traditional self and set her poetry apart.

“Success is counted sweetest” is a Mindful Moms’ favorite. We love her use of metaphor and allusion in general, and especially in this poem. We found the following manuscript from Emily Dickinson Archive:
